Found footage horror film V/H/S is hitting VOD August 31st before going into limited release October 5th. Magnolia Pictures has cut a new trailer, and it’s pretty goddamn great.
The film tells the story of a group of criminals hired to break into a house to steal one, specific VHS tape. I’ll let the trailer take it from there:
Rare these days that a trailer can actually raise the hairs on the back of my neck. But something about the stripped down, visceral approach has me hoping V/H/S turns out to be one of the good ones. It’s a collaborative work, directed in parts by Ti West, Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, and a foursome going by the name of Radio Silence. The film was a hit for the Sundance crowd, should be a fun one to check out come August.
