I’m champing at the bit for June 8th, 2012. That’s when Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi thriller Prometheus arrives in theaters. Studying these images, there are qualities in the designs of the sets and costumes that feel so true to the Alien universe, yet diverse enough to forge their own niche – so hopefully it’s mission accomplished, Mr. Scott. Those shots of the ship’s bridge in particular feel very familiar. It’s not hard imagining these pics featuring a 70s-era Sigourney Weaver or Tom Skerritt walking around in the background somewhere. There’s something remarkably comforting in that.
