One of the things that gets me through the slow stretches is thinking about how I may one day get a chance to sleep with this girl or that. The idea of getting a letter that tells me not just who I have slept with, but also the names of all the women I ever will sleep with, fills me with dread. There, on a piece of paper, is the boundaries and limitations of my sex life.
That’s the premise of Sex and Death 101, a new dark comedy script by Daniel Waters, the guy who wrote Heathers. He’s written the film, and starting in May he’ll be directing it. Sadly, the last film he directed was 2001’s Happy Campers, one of the most truly shitty films I have sat through.
Waters is also working on a script for his brother Mark, who directed the much more excellent Mean Girls (seriously – it’s great). The movie is called The Diceman, and I am hoping that it’s about Andrew Dice Clay. After all, Daniel Waters wrote The Adventures of Ford Fairlane!
