I’ve been perusing the wires today for TV news, as this is one of the busiest weeks in TV with the Upfronts and all. So far, both Fox and NBC have announced their Fall and mid-season line-ups, and Donald Trump shocked the world with news that he ain’t gonna be prez. So, along with the two aforementioned schedule announcements, some shows have had to be axed. Here’s a list of what’s out so far on all the networks, via TV Squad:
ABC
Better With You
Brothers & Sisters
Detroit 1-8-7
Mr. Sunshine
My Generation
No Ordinary Family
Off the Map
V
There was talk up until very recently Brothers & Sisters could return with a shortened final season. Nope. V ends its highly disappointing run.
NBC
Americas Next Great Restaurant
The Cape
Chase
The Event
Friday Night Lights
Law & Order: LA
Outsourced
The Paul Reiser Show
Perfect Couples
School Pride
Save Chuck! Oh, wait, nevermind. I caught the first episode of The Cape and got a laugh that that thing ever got past the scripting stage. The Chase had potential, but it was up against Castle and Hawaii Five-O and the DVR is a cruel mistress. Law & Order: LA only had 20 more seasons to go before tying Gunsmoke…. Good to asee Paul Reiser back on TV for 30 seconds or so…OK, I actually never even saw a promo for the show. Had nine episodes of The Event stockpiled to watch…never could muster the neergy to do it.
FOX
Breaking In
The Chicago Code
Human Target
Lie to Me
Lone Star
Running Wilde
Traffic Light
Still bummed about Human Target. And Hell, I thought Lone Star was a 2009 show. Here’s hoping Christian Slater gets out of this one-and-done streak he’s on for TV lately.
CBS
The Defenders
Mad Love
Medium
$#*! My Dad Says
$#*! be trippin’. yo. Gave The Defenders a couple of tries, but never caught on with it. Medium should have probably gone a couple of years ago.
THE CW
Life Unexpected
Smallville
That Smallville finale was awful.
