THE POSEIDON JOURNALS END!

The Poseidon Journals are done. It was fun while it lasted, as Warner Bros brought a number of web sites to visit the set of Wolfgang Peterson’s remake of The Poseidon Adventure. For me it was memorable because Richard Dreyfuss punched me, a story I will surely be dining out on for years.

As is the way with the internet, the final installment appears at Aint It Cool News, where Moriarty doesn’t just interview the big director man but also gets in some time with the cinematographer. It’s a great little interview because I think it sheds some light (that’s a DP joke (that means Director of Photography, not Double Penetration)) on how cinematography works. The more you know about how films are made, the more you can appreciate them, and this interview gives some great insight into the way a DP deals with the new digital age.
