Zack Snyder is doing the rounds for Sucker Punch, but as is always the case with movie publicity these days, no one cares. It’s all about the next project, and Snyder has the “misfortune” of being on one hell of a massive geek property.
But Snyder is currently enrolled in the Christopher Nolan School of Spoiler Alerts, and can’t say anything about anything.
He was able to shoot down one rumor that we (or at least I) really liked. Latino Review asked him whether Viggo Mortensen was still a contender now that he was officially locked for Snow White and the Huntsman. Snyder promptly crushed all our hopes and dreams. “Yeah Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now. I can clear that up.”
Was it said with any regret? Was he ever in the running? This must, like all other Superman speculation and rumor, go unexplained for now.
Mortensen, you’re just breaking my heart here. Ok, not really. But now who shall we champion? Jon Hamm, I should think, though I would clap if Snyder can nab schedule-heavy Gerard Butler.
This is, of course, assuming General Zod is in the film. Snyder didn’t deny Ursa though, and he certainly could have, especially since he was speaking to the site that broke the scoop.
