I saw Stealth last night. It looks like Boston’s favorite son, Dave Davis, will be reviewing it for CHUD.com, so let me just give you my quick impressions: dumb, dumb, dumb but fun. Sure, the attempts to shoehorn some commentary are out of place, and hey, not a whole lot of it makes sense. And what the hell, they take a vacation in Thailand just so we can get Jessica Biel posing for pictures in a bikini – but like you’re going to bitch about that. Essentially Rob Cohen has made the summer movie Michael Bay should have made, plus it has Josh Lucas surviving the whole picture, something I don’t think I’ve seen in some time.
Cohen’s cameraman seems to have some sort of low grade form of Tourette’s that makes him keep moving, and there’s one brilliant moment where a character presses a button and the camera actually follows an electrical impusle through wiring! Bravissimo!
Of course Davis may well be less impressed by this than me, but he did like Chronicles of Riddick. In the meantime, we have some clips from the film for you, and for the kinds of rich kids whose mommies bought them PSPs, we have stuff for you too. Actually, let’s get the spoiled bastards out of the way first – they hate waiting for stuff. Click here to get the Stealth trailer and behind the scenes clips for your PSP. There’s more coming, so check back later.
Now, for the rest of us, we have four clips from the film. Enjoy!
