And in the end, I have no need for this blog anymore. What started as a semi-mandatory way to poke passive aggressive fun at others has now turned into yet another checklist writing assignment.
Feeling the need to re-develop this area, I will be launching Interpolation in the new year. Interpolation will be my attempt at Nick Hornby style reflections on the current state of pop music.
I’ll be examining the roots of pop, the faces of pop and where pop stands today. I feel the time is right to launch yet another music blog, as Chewers grow older and begin to leave the sewer.
Sure, there’s plenty of Pitchforks, Stereogums, Rolling Stones, Spins, Blenders and what have you in the world. But, I want to rush into that crowded marketplace and scream ME TOO!
While I don’t expect all to follow me into this new project, I would like to extend a sincere invitation to Gwai Lo. I’m going to find out who you are and I’m going to spend the next year going out of my way to annoy the fuck out of you.
To the people that actually cared to follow my latest rant here, I hope that you find my musings on Taylor Swift’s warped sense of self to be reason to continue.
