There have been several TV doings recently as a number of shows have had full season orders and a few have been downgraded or dropped.
First off, Michael Ausiello reports that NBC has given full season orders to new series, Chase, The Event, Outsourced and Law & Order: LA, as well as four more episode orders to JJ Abrams’ Undercovers. He also speculates that a back-nine order for Chuck is looking very good (yay). Chase is averaging a 6.5 million viewers, which is 18 better than The Jay Leno Show same time last year. Both TVGuide and THR already have it that Chuck’s back-nine order is a done deal.
Meanwhile, ABC Family has pulled reruns of Friday Night Lights from its schedule due to the football drama underperforming: “As of today, Monday, Oct. 18, FNL is no longer on ABC Family’s
schedule,” says a network spokesperson. “It wasn’t performing from a
ratings standpoint. We moved it around the schedule, but unfortunately
it wasn’t holding up.” The fifth and final season premieres on DirecTV on October 27th.
And Deadline reports that ABC will be cutting V’s Season 2 order down to just 10 episodes from 13.
