The gentlemen at Collider received a batch of photos yesterday from the set of the Spielberg film you’ll be watching in a little less than a year, War Horse. The photos capture horse riding in the countryside on what looks like a fairly low-key day from a few weeks ago at the beginning of the shoot (that still involves 40 something set-persons it seems). Since the story traverses the many fields of the first World War, I imagine shit has gone down on subsequent days.
It shouldn’t’ be long before we get some better tastes of the cast in action, which includes Jeremy Irvine, David Thewlis, and Emily Watson. Until then, enjoy grass, a gyro crane rig, and a horse from afar. August 10th, 2011 is the day you should be penciling in to your calendar for World War I of the Worlds: Horse.
Sorry, can’t do better than Saving Private Equus.
