Life currently has a couple of galleries on the legendary Marlon Brando, circa 1950, as he was preparing for his role in The Men. The Fred Zinnemann film centered on a World War II lieutenant who is injured in combat and returns home in a wheelchair, where he faces a struggle to cope with his new life. It was written by Carl Foreman (Champion, Home of the Brave), and although it wasn’t a commercial success, it is notable for being Brando’s film debut.
