I remain embargoed on the details of my visit to the set of Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, but what I saw that day catapulted the film to the top of my Must See In 2011 list. A bizarre, stylized and ass-kicking mash up of genres and concepts, Sucker Punch is Snyder’s first wholly original film, although I think you’ll find that he pulled it straight from the ubergeek shared consciousness.
The film will make a big impact at Comic Con next week, but first there’s a picture in what I’m guessing is Entertainment Weekly, which Ain’t It Cool just ran. It’s the female leads (and Scott Glenn!) looking sexy as hell in their fetish gear. I believe this picture is from a part of the film where the ladies are fighting trench warfare in WWI against clockwork, sawdust-filled German zombies. Yeah, that’s just one of the amazing action segments. And that’s nothing to do with the musical numbers…
