Just moments ago there was a knock at my door; by the time I opened it the deliveryman was gone but a plain brown box sat on my stoop. The return address was a PO Box in New Mexico. Opening it up I discovered an evidence bag, with a blood stained funnel inside:
The New Mexico address, the 1983 date on the evidence bad and the bloody funnel… this is almost certainly a bit of viral marketing for Let Me In, the remake of Let the Right One In, which is going to have a presence at Comic Con next week. I know the movie is pretty much finished – a number of friends have seen it and really liked it, all of them saying it justifies its own existence and does its own thing – so maybe there could even be a screening? I’m dying to check it out.
As for the marketing aspect – I wonder if any of the numbers on the evidence bag mean anything. I’m not the kind of person who looks into that stuff… but maybe you are.
