Shock Till You Drop just unveiled the first trailer for Anthony DiBlasi’s adaptation of Clive Barker’s Dread.
As you’ll see, it’s about a couple of students that decide to perform a study on fear, one that gets more than a little bit out of hand. The film stars Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Evans, Hanne Steen and Laura Donnelly, and it’s been getting tons of praise.
You’ll be able to check it out for yourself soon, as the film’s going to be playing in theaters on January 29th at the After Dark Horrorfest this year. Normally this is where I’d rant about the fest for being horribly organized and full of poor selections (“Eight DTV Films To Ignore” might have been a better tagline for the last few), but it’s pretty great that this small film will actually manage to make it out to theaters across the nation. Check the Horrorfest official site and hope they actually update it before the fest starts. (If the below embed isn’t working, check it out at the STYD link above!)
