Yes, awards season is gearing up again.  And right on queue, the Screen Actors Guild Awards have joined the mosh pit with their annual list of nominations for their awards show, which will be held on January 23rd.  Awards shows have their good and (all-too-often) bad aspects, but what I’ve always loved about the SAG Awards is the Ensemble categories, for both film and TV, where even actors who are complete schlubs can still walk away with a statue based on the work of the entire group.  It’s very inclusive in a “yes, Dear, everybody’s special” kind of way.
