The Weinstein Company has added a little splash of color to the latest iteration of the poster for The Road, John Hillcoat’s adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s ceaselessly grim post-apocalyptic novel. It’s a red bungee cord! Maybe this isn’t the grimmest movie ever made, ma! Let’s buy tickets!
But I suspect this is indeed one of the grimmer movie experiences of all time. Hopefully I’ll find out tonight, as I should be catching a screening of The Road this evening.
