Turner Classic Movies is gearing up for their annual Summer Under the Stars marathon and have just released a series of 12 posters that are better than anything to come out of Hollywood in years. This ain’t hyperbole- anyone rightfully complaining about the lack of interesting or artistic posters need look no further than TCM’s site.

If they were to sell these, I know I’d have to pick up a handful of them.

The marathon will focus on one star a day, and will feature a number of movies from each actor’s repertoire. Here’s the full lineup-

* August 18 – John Wayne
* August 19 – Red Skelton
* August 20 – Miriam Hopkins
* August 21 – Gene Hackman

They will be premiering 42 movies this year, including The Grapes of
Wrath, Les Miseables, An Affair to Remember and Mississippi Burning.
