Heh…prepositions… Although after No Country For Old Men, I’d assume Bardem was capable of anything. Anyway, according to Variety, the two Oscar winners are set to star in the Ryan Murphy-directed Eat, Pray, Love, based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert. Joining them will also be Richard Jenkins in this tale where Roberts plays the author, and Bardem will play Felipe, the man
Gilbert meets and falls in love with on the final leg of a journey of
self-discovery that began with the end of her marriage. Richard Jenkins plays a Texan whom the heroine befriends at an Indian ashram.
Murphy is known primarily as a producer and writer on such shows as Nip/Tuck (which he created) and also the upcoming Glee. Roberts has most recently been seen in Duplicity with Clive Owen and will reteam with Garry Marshall in Valentine’s Day. While Bardem was last seen in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona (and atop Penelope Cruz…lucky bastard) and will next be seen in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Biutiful.
