There’s a plethora of on demand video
out there these days. So much so that sometimes it can be hard to wade
through it all and find something worth watching. Watch This Now is
your guide to instant video on Netflix, Hulu and elsewhere,
highlighting the very best stuff that you can watch right now.
I had something else on deck for today’s Watch This Now, but then I saw this short animated documentary film at Twitch and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. The basic premise is an examination of the ridiculous requests that the Getty Image Archive gets for photographs. For instance, they’ve been asked for photos of Hitler at the 1948 Olympics. And for pictures of a living dodo. And a photograph of Jesus. What sells the piece is the clever animation that brings photos to life in the huge archive. It’s fun, and it’s very short at just over six minutes. Enjoy!
