USA Today has the first images from Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, and they include CHUD pal Bill Hader in his Custer get-up, riding along with either a shocked or Botoxed Ben Stiller.

The sequel looks to be even bigger than the first, and somehow – believe it or not – even better. Seriously. Says Stiller: “I liked this script — it’s better than the first film.” How is it even possible to top the heights reached in the first one? I’m getting a nosebleed simply imagining the rarified air that must be atop the mountain peak of art that is Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian script. Or else Stiller’s saying he didn’t like the first one that much.

The movie, like the original, does have a good cast, Quoth USA Today: [R]eturning: Robin Williams, Dick Van Dyke, Owen Wilson and Ricky
Gervais. Newcomers include Christopher Guest, Hank Azaria, Eugene Levy,
Saturday Night Live‘s Bill Hader and Enchanted‘s Amy Adams, who plays famed aviator Amelia Earhart, [Stiller’s] romantic foil.

Director Shawn Levy threatens a possible third film if your kids make this one a hit as well.
