Although it’s still going to take me a while to come to terms with the fact that they’re not calling it Trans4mers, in a poster revealed today (first at Yahoo Movies UK), we all now know that the name of the fourth installment in the Transformers… um… saga… will be Transformers: Age of Extinction.
This reveal jibes with the fact that Dinobots are all-but-confirmed to factor heavily into the movie: a secret less well-hidden than Megan Fox’s midriff (did you hear that, Google search-engines?).
Beyond that, the only thing we can deduce is that sand is involved. A whole lot of sand. This makes sense as it was the main character in the entire second two-hour block of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Hey, for fun, tell your nerdier friends that you can see Venom hidden in the sand patterns!

Incidentally, the image top-right, which is cooler or at least more coherent than anything you will see in the movie (I generally hate cynicism, but it’s allowed for utterly cynical movies), is courtesy of an extremely talented (and apparently psychic) craftsman featured at Seibertron.com who created a custom “combiner” Dinobot figure called… wait for it… Extinction. In 2010. Good on you, mate.
No word yet on which of the Oscar-caliber talent gets pissed on or dry-humped in this installment. We’ll just have to wait and see.
