BOOM.
That’s the sound of someone getting it. Specifically Gareth Evans, and the team at Warner Brothers teasing Godzilla with a poster promising a familiar look but newfound scale for the irradiated terror of Tokyo. Above is the first teaser poster for the film, which debuted along with some other art at Comic Con. A much less effective banner is included below, along with a set of Mondo posters that are lovely enough, if not must-haves (for me, anyway).
That said, the dusk variant is a peach.
We’re a year away from the great beast making landfall, but it will be encouraging to see WB push hard behind a great big monster, even as their last go with super-sized monsters failed to catch on with the public to the extent it merited (though it may yet have legs!).
