There’s a load of Indiana Jones almost news that has accumulated over the past few days, but where to start, where to start? Best place is probably new Crystal Skull photos, which were published in the magazine Cine Live. I like how the first two, seen in small form below, almost have that Raiders look. Click over to /Film’s original post to see a couple of portraits featuring Shia and Cate.
Going back to the original films, paramount has announced the fully expected Indiana Jones Special Edition DVD box set to coincide with the release of Indy IV. No Blu-Ray, which isn’t a surprise, and there’s little to differentiate this set from the last except for a few extras produced with interviews from the current cast. When it’s in HD I’ll think about it. See the full lineup of features at the bottom of the article.
Finally, some comedy. Bloody Disgusting’s got a mindblowing statement from Uwe Boll about his reasons for opening Postal opposite Crystal Skull in May. How mindblowing? Ironside-level. Viz:
Spielberg gets sloppy. We saw that with War of the Worlds (why the fuck the older brother survived?) and also in parts of Jaws, E.T., Munich etc.! My performance in Postal as ‘Nazi Theme Park Owner’ outperforms easily Ben Kingsley in Schindler’s List!
Actually, that’s not the last. Friday I posted the trailer to Lego Batman: The Videogame, but there’s also the Indiana Jones version dropping soon, and a long gameplay clip has been released. I’ve embedded it below, and I know I’ll be picking the game up when LucasArts releases it in June.
