No Tom, Don’t do it!
Oblivion is almost upon us! Oh, and Joseph Kosinski’s new film Oblivion starring Tom Cruise is just a couple weeks off. I was most recently impressed by some cool production tricks the team used, and now we have this admittedly great IMAX poster. The film has been “specially formatted” for IMAX, meaning they’ve done a special crop of the 4K image so the film shows persistently in IMAX ratio (no flipping back and forth, according to Kosinski). It’s not legit IMAX, but if it’s something they’ve planned and composed for, then it’s good news still.
The film hits April 19th in both formats (no early roll-out anymore).
