Now that the Wright Stuff Film Festival is over, CHUD will only have updates about it once a day. But seriously, folks, I know that we’ve talked about this a lot but it’s been a pretty incredible experience on a lot of levels, and maybe one of the best things about it is that people who don’t live in LA can still take part in the fun, thanks to Blogging.LA. They recorded the Q&A sessions at each of the Wright Stuff screenings and have been putting them up online so that everybody can listen in to terrific talent talking in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The newest one is the only Q&A I missed – John Landis talking after a screening of An American Werewolf in London. Apparently Landis got up in front of the crowd at the lovely New Beverly theater and held court for a long, long time and was amazing while doing it. And just to top it off, Landis stuck around for Tremors, the second feature in that night’s double bill. How cool is that?
Head over to Blogging.LA to listen to the Landis recording (I’m downloading the HOUR LONG installment right now so I can listen to it while running errands this afternoon). Also make sure to listen to Shane Black; his cynicism about the industry and his own movies was hilarious. And by the way, if you listen to the Q&As you may hear a loyal CHUD reader or two – like message board regular Stormin – getting their queries answered by the special guests.
