The Malick thing is really working for Snyder- I hope it turns out to be a nice new way of doing “grim’n’gritty” with out so much grimness and grit. This trailer, along with doubling down on the flowing, hovering imagery and sun-pointed drama, also lets loose with some action, which all seems pretty standard at this point. Still loving the arrested Superman imagery- his submission to mankind. That is actual poetic film/story grammer that means a lot more than a floaty shot of pencils or whatever.
We also get a little look at Zod, but ultimately they’re still playing their cards close. I hope that stays the case. I’d love to see something I don’t expect when I walk in for a new Superman movie.
