It’s spectacularly difficult not to automatically hate a rich person when they look like this…
Or this…
Even for the 1990s* these guys look like serious douche canoes. It’s funny how near-gaunt McConaughey is looking, while Hill has ballooned out again, and they’re all quaffed to look like party monster Wall Street execs- real corporate raiders tmaking big money doing shady shit. If you’re interested in the economics of the film (and mad spoilers), Business Insider has taken a look at the script and lent their expert opinions on the most interesting Wall Street no-goodery that will take place.
I like how excited for this project Scorsese has seemed to be in interviews, and I’m excited to see him play out this morality tale that I assume will be more akin to Catch Me If You Can than Wall Street 2. That’s a very good thing. It features a script by the brilliant Terrence Winter, and will be Scorsese’s first digitally-shot, non-3D film. So that’s a thing.
DiCaprio, Hill, and McConaughey will be joined by Jon Favreau, Gene Hackman (narrating!), Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jean Dujardin, Jon Bernthal, and Rob Reiner. The film is –duh– shooting now, aiming for an unknown date next year.

*The film should take place in the 80s and 90s, and I’m assuming these photos are from a 90s segment.
