I was (and still am) a pretty big fan of Taken. It’s due as much to Liam Neeson’s performance as it is to the great action set pieces that happen in the film.
Now the director, Pierre Morel is heading back to France with another action thriller called Bastille Day.
Here’s a brief description of the plot.
Bastille is based on an original idea about a young American artist living in Paris and a washed-up CIA agent who are thrown together and tasked with diverting an imminent attack on the city.
I hope this means that Bryan Mills level destruction is going to be brought to France again. Too bad they don’t have Liam Neeson, or will they? Still early on. One can hope. Hell, it would be awesome to see John Travolta as Charlie Wax again tearing up Paris.
