This is a man ready for the apocalypse.
Post apocalyptic movies are a favorite sub-genre of mine. They either go one of 2 ways. Either it’s sad and depressing (The Day After, The Road) or they are fun sci-fi/action/horror films. Usually of the Italian director variety (Endgame, 1990: The Bronx Warriors).
Well now according to Deadline, there’s a movie called The Colony which is going to star Bill Paxton, Laurence Fishburne, and Kevin Zegers. Check out the synopsis below.
Zegers, Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton star in the feature about a small group of survivors in the aftermath of a future Ice Age who live underground fighting for their lives in a society that disintegrates into cannibalism and violence.
I highlighted the interesting aspects. I like the fact that it’s a future Ice Age as opposed to another “Nuclear War” type scenario. I just can’t wait to see how insane this gets. Especially if Paxton and Fishburne wig out. Those guys know how to play crazy.
