For most of the last decade I have preferred seeing Sydney Pollack in front of the camera instead of behind it. Hey, he’s done great work – Three Days of the Condor, Tootsie – but the one-two punch of Random Hearts and Sabrina… shudder.
Anyway, is that the future of Kevin Smith? There was Vulgar, Daredevil, the upcoming Southland Tales and Catch and Release, the new Jennifer Garner comedy. Hell, he’s even filmed a role in the TV pilot Manchild. And after that he’ll be appearing in… Live Free or Die Hard. Seriously. And apparently it’s not just a blink and you miss him part – Smith spent five days filming.
That’s according to his blog, which features only the following info: “For five days, I acted opposite Bruce Willis in this summer’s Live Free or Die Hard.” There’s a ‘To Be Continued’ after that, so I imagine that more is forthcoming.
