Brad Anderson’s next film, Trans-Siberian has just signed on six new cast members. Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Kate Mara, Eduardo Noriega, Ben Kingsley and Thomas Kretschmann are all set to get on the train and cause some mayhem.
The film is about an American couple (Harrelson and Morton) traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Things get a little out of hand when they meet another couple on board (Mara and Noriega), and the train ride becomes full of murder and deception. To complicate matters more, two Russian police officers (Kingsley and Kretschmann) will be right on the couples’ tails.
The film is budgeted at more than $15 million, and will begin shooting December 11 in Beijing, Russia and Lithuania.
The Machinist is one of the most underrated films of all time, in my opinion. Anderson did an excellent job with a little budget and I know I’m excited to see what the man can do with just a little more money behind him.
