I’ve been hearing from a few sources that Colin Farrell is absolutely awesome as Jerry Dandridge in the new Fright Night remake. Which is good, because the film needs him. Though Chris Sarandon was quite good as the character in the original film there were a lot of things that clicked just right to make that movie work.
Today you can’t throw a gerbil and not hit a vampire film. It’s a crowded market. Luckily this Fright Night remake has a real director (Craig Gillespie of Lars and the Real Girl fame), real actors (Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant), and a source film that is great but not one of the genre cornerstones and thusly not too sacred of ground.
Watch the trailer:
Boy (Anton Yelchin) meets girl (Imogen Poots). Boy protects girl from next door neighbor (Farrell) who is a vampire. Geeky friend (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) helps. You know the drill. This one looks like fun.

Good luck! Winners will be emailed a code to print tickets for the sneak preview. You’ll want to be there.
