Few films have stirred the geek imaginations this summer quite like Captain America, which seems to have reignited that pure, genuine superhero movie optimism that has been beaten down over the years. Along with very strong early rumors, great promo material like this only helps bolster the buzz…
Mondo has been on the move lately, putting out their usual slew of great posters, and even doing new things like making an archiving arrangement with AMPAS (the first of its kind) and even recruiting Drew Struzan to contribute a print. Well now they’ve brought out three great artists to give their take on Captain America– Eric Tan, Olly Moss, and Tyler Stout.
Everyone brought their A-game, and even something as tired as a propaganda poster gets new life when handled by someone like Moss. There’s just a sophistication to this work that you don’t find with your everyday internet meme poster (I also love the peace sign Cap wings!). Check them out, and keep up with Mondo to hear about sale dates.
I understand (via /Film’s Peter Sciretta) that the Stout poster (definitely the best of the bunch) will be a give-away at the Comic Con screening of the movie, so I can imagine that will be even harder to get into…
