Not too much to report here. We all know (well, at least most of us) that Mark Hartley’s Not Quite Hollywood was a fantastically fun documentary that added a host of new discoveries to all our viewing queues (thanks for that Mark!). We also know he’s got a follow-up to that film that plans to do for Filipino exploitation cinema what NQH did for Australian exploitation cinema, called Machete Maidens Unleashed. And now that film has a “red band” trailer, that’s – according to the trailer itself – rated R for “Ridiculous” because it “contains karate-kickin’ midgets, paper-mache monsters and busty babes with blades.” You had me at R for Ridiculous. I’ve only seen one film shown in this trailer, so I’m excited for a new slate of discoveries! Keep em coming Mark. The film hits DVD July 26th.
