After putting her acting abilities on full display in The Dukes of Hazzard, and by “acting abilities” I mean “miraculous rack”, pop tart Jessica Simpson is swiftly ditching her cheek-revealing shorts and filling her schedule with other movie roles.
Next she’ll aptly play the object of desire in the upcoming comedy Employee of the Month. The Lions Gate flick is set at a giant discount store where Simpson works as a cashier, and two gawky male co-workers become rivals for her attention by trying to become the film’s title.
One of the two amorous buffoons will be played by Dane Cook, who I only knew from his fine work in Torque and The Touch and Simon Sez until honcho Nunziata insisted I listen to Cook’s rather hilarious comedy performance CDs. Greg Coolidge (Sorority Boys) is directing Employee from his own script.
