Film/TV: A Braves win!
Music: God damn The Wizard’s Keys are great.
Comedy: A little Robert Klein.
Food/Drink/Inhalents: A sandwich. A grilled chicken sandwich. Coffee. Water. Orange juice. No booze. No smoke.
Family: I didn’t see much of anyone.
Friends: The office folks. The Punishers teammates.
Work: A good bit. And we shot some video for this delightful segment. I did my last “Your Questions For”. That said, if things look up I’ll reinstate it. It seems there are folks who use it right.
Animal of the Day: The Sea Pig!
Art: Zero arts.
Goodies: No treats joined my person.
Screenwriting: Duke.
Projects: Got an update on the TV thing. Hollywood folks certainly take their time deciding.
Minutia: It’s great that Louis CK is huge now. Why? Because he hasn’t changed fuck-all in his approach and the amount of time he spends being the best. I don’t like Opie and Anthony at all but YouTube is an embarrassment of riches when Louis and Jim Norton are allowed to run roughshod on the airwaves.
Activity: Softball game. For the championship. I batted 5th and played 2B. I went 2-4 with a hard single and inside the park HR to right. I put so much spin on the ball that it hit to the right of the outfielder and kicked into the corner. I was home before the ball got to the infield. Played solid defense but we lost almost entirely due to silly decisions on where to throw the ball (hint: get it to the middle of the infield, outfielders) and the fact folks let singles become doubles and let easy outs become single (ie: playing way too deep in the OF). But it was fun and I was running extremely well. I’m a faster dude than people expect and it’d be nice to be able to use that as my twitch reflexes fade.
Ailments: Nope. I feel excellent.
Shrink’s Chair: I have what they call “quality problems”. I love that term because it puts things in perspective. I am making a big deal about current shit because it hurts me and is tough for me but in the grand scheme it’s the tiniest of potatoes. I’m healthy, have lots of people who care about me, and am a relatively intelligent middle class white dude. I have quality problems and sometimes I forget that.
Asshole(s) of the Day: The guy who eased up next to me at the urinal at the parks and let loose a fart that’d kneecap Zeus.
True Trivia: When Salem’s Lot aired on TV (yes I’m old), it scared me so much that I slept under the kitchen table so my parent’s could protect me.
What Did I Learn Today: I was blamed for killing a message board I’ve never visited.
