Tomorrow is going to be a presenting partner for a sneak preview of Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND, and we’ve got a whole mess of tickets to give away to you lucker New Yorkers!

In a fierce, alternative vision of America’s bleak future, a young boy is about to learn how cruel the world can be. Martin was a normal teenage boy before the country collapsed in an empty pit of economic and political disaster.

And from the ashes rose a new breed of terror. A vampire epidemic has swept across what is left of the nation’s abandoned towns and cities, and it’s up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin safely north to Canada, the continent’s New Eden.

Welcome to Stake Land, kid…

Director Jim Mickle’s first feature Mulberry Street is a fun zombie flick that played Tribeca, SXSW and Toronto After Dark a few years ago, and this is his follow-up feature. It’s been getting amazing reviews so far. The head of Glass Eye Pix Larry Fessenden (Habit, I Sell The Dead) produced the film, and the cast includes Nick Damici (actor/co-writer of Mulberry Street), Danielle Harris (Halloween), Connor Paolo (Gossip Girl).

The screening will be held at a Manhattan theater at 8:00pm tomorrow (Tuesday the 12th), and will have the director and select cast in attendence for a Q&A afterwards. This really is the place to see it as this is a hometown film- most of the cast and crew are natives! Support your local filmmakers!

Since this is short notice, to get tickets simply email me at with your full name and STAKELAND as the subject! Hope to see you there.

Stake Land hits On Demand via IFC Midnight on April 27th and theaters in NYC April 22nd, LA, SF and Chicago on the 29th. Check the official site for the teaser trailer and more info.
