Cuba Gooding, Jr. will always be remembered as the “Show me the money” guy who managed to squander any and all career goodwill earned from his Best Supporting Oscar win for his role in Jerry Maguire. Christian Slater, however, has managed to wring the most out of his potential movie star career, despite losing steam after a string of action hits in the early part of the last decade.

Now they team up together in the vast direct-to-home-video world with the action flick Sacrifice, presented by Millennium Entertainment – a young company that distributes features and television shows, but is now getting involved in producing its own films.

Sacrifice goes a little something like this:

After a fatal crime is committed upon his wife and daughter, tough undercover cop John Hebron (Oscar® Winner Cuba Gooding Jr., American Gangster, Jerry Maguire, Pearl Harbor) struggles to forgive himself for being unable to save them. Plagued by the past, he turns to the counsel of Father Porter (Christian Slater, “The Forgotten,” Bobby, True Romance) who has recently experienced his own problems when the church’s holy Mary statue falls into the hands of hoodlum vandals. When on-the-run criminal Mike (Devon Bostick, “Being Erica,” Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Saw VI) tries to rehabilitate his life for the sake of his little sister, he entrusts each man with something that will change their lives forever.

Gooding, Jr. has been doing the cop thing for a while now, but Slater as a man of the cloth looks like a new realm for Kuffs himself. The film also stars Devon Bostick and Kim Coates. The film is available on DVD (Including a free digital copy) and Blu-Ray at an SRP of $28.98, as well as digitally for $14.99 (Standard Definition download) and $19.99 (High Definition download).
