Scooper ewoklake hooks us up with the trailer to next summer’s Marvel movie, Ghost Rider, starring Nic Cage in the comic book role he had been dying for all these years. It’s weird that the trailer didn’t appear at Comic Con, but after seeing the brief Ghost Rider CGI – which looks like something out of an early 90s PC game – I don’t blame Columbia for keeping it a secret.
The trailer, which you can’t see unless you have Quicktime 7, lays out the basics of the story and reveals that Cage isn’t even trying to act. I don’t know know the last time I saw flatter line readings.
One thing about the CGI – the film is a year from release, so there’s plenty of time for the FX folks to make it actually watchable. In the meantime, click here to see the trailer.
