From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY NINETY:

“In my youth, I used to hear all sorts of stories about bottomless pits and kids falling into wells.  It seemed like every other week, there was some poor soul tumbling into one chasm or another, never to be seen or heard from again.  Well, here’s a tale of one such individual who returns from the experience literally a changed man.”

– Andy Cosby (Twitter)

Terror runs deep.”

Pitch:

When a young boy falls into a deep, seemingly bottomless ravine at the outskirts of town, the community comes together in a massive rescue effort.  Unfortunately, the boy is never recovered, and his distraught parents are forced to come to terms with the fact that they will never see their child again.  That is until a middle-aged man stumbles into town a month later claiming to be the same little lost boy, telling wild tales of his time in some alternate dimension while warning of the grave dangers the town now faces from “the other side.”  Of course, everyone assumes the stranger is crazy and likely responsible for the boy’s disappearance.  But when bizarre otherworldly creatures emerge from the old gorge and begin assaulting the local populace, the whole town is forced to accept the impossible, turning to the only person who has any knowledge of the terrors with which they are now confronted.

Nick Says: This is flat out a great fucking idea.
