From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY EIGHTY-ONE:

“With BATTLE: LA having recently opened at number one, it seems like science fiction is once again a good bet at the box office.   So here’s a little diddy that pits two of my favorite movie villains against one another in a glorious sci-fi creature feature free-for-all.”

– Andy Cosby (Twitter)

“World War of the Worlds”

Pitch:

Set against the backdrop of WWII, a select group of top Nazi pilots are shipped off to Hitler’s secret Antarctic base, where they are put through a series of grueling and often-lethal training exercises in a relentless effort to teach them how to fly experimental aircraft reverse engineered from a recovered alien spaceship.  But when one of their trainers becomes infected with an extraterrestrial virus, these chosen few soon find themselves fighting each other as one-by-one they fall prey to the insidious alien menace.

Nick Says: I cannot wait to see what Til Schweiger and Karel Roden are able to do with this. Yes, Roden’s as far from German possible but it’s the role he was genetically engineered in a lab to play.
