From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

365 days of Sci-Fi Archive

And now… DAY SEVENTY-SIX:

“Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?”

– Andy Cosby (Twitter)

“Jungle Fever”

Pitch:

Deep in the jungles of Sri Lanka, missionaries searching for some missing students suddenly find themselves caught in a deadly contest between rare giant pythons, killing anything and everything in their path to impress the only available female of the species as part of a brutal mating ritual.  Little by little the missionaries fall prey to the gargantuan snakes, until only a young school teacher and her guide remain, fighting for survival amidst this biological battle of the sssssssexes.

Nick Says: The things we do for love. This is both a stunning high concept horror flick and the true story about the origins of the Missionary Position. Either way I’m in, ‘specially with Freida Pinto, Josh Hartnett, Will Wheaton, and the return of Jonathan Lipnicki to look forward to.
