Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY SIXTY-SEVEN:

“As horror fans around the world hold out hope that Guillermo Del Toro will get his $150 million ‘Mountains’ adaptation off the ground, I figured I’d hedge our collective bet with a little low budget Lovecraft homage.  This one’s for you GDT.”

“Wet Your Appetite for Horror”

Pitch:

Having narrowly survived his Antarctic ordeal those many years ago, the now retired Professor Dyer is called back to action by an old friend who claims to have located the legendary Fountain of Youth. At his friend’s request, Dyer travels to a remote village in the foothills of the Andes, where the locals’ credit their unnatural health and longevity to a series of natural springs from which they obtain their drinking water. Intrigued by the phenomena, Dyer and his team of scientists begin exploring the underground caverns beneath the mountains, and the rivers that flow through them.  Here, Dyer once again comes face-to-face with otherworldly evil and the source of the village’s mystical wellspring – a dying Elder God whose life’s blood drains freely into the underground river, tainting it with the dark deity’s mutagenic and corruptive properties.
