From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY-FIVE:

“I’ve always been fascinated by Mexico’s version of Bigfoot, but there’s just something a little sad about a cryptid that runs around picking on small farm animals.  Not exactly jump out of your seat scary, is it?  So let’s spice things up a bit, and give this particular devil its due.”

“Hungry for Mexicans.”

SUPERCABRA: In a small village outside Mexico City, a corrupt petrochemical company has been illegally testing a new steroidal pesticide, which has leached into the groundwater and is now beginning to have an adverse effect on the local animal population.  When the legendary chupacabra sucks a goat tainted with this unstable chemical compound, it alters the beast’s blood chemistry, transforming it into something far more dangerous and powerful – a whole new type of creature with a taste for something a little higher up the food chain.

Nick Says: See, you don’t need zombies to be awesome!
