365 days of Sci-Fi (Archive)

From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY TWENTY-EIGHT:

“Had a recent conversation with my wife concerning why so many men are afraid of commitment, so I thought I’d cook up a little bad movie mojo that not only underscores this theme but also pays homage to one of the great non-committal moviemakers of our time.

– Andy Cosby

Til death do us start.

Pitch:

Before neurotic New York comedian Allen Woody can break up with his emotionally unstable girlfriend, Annie, she commits suicide by jumping out the window of their 8th floor Manhattan apartment.  While this would normally mark a definitive end to any relationship, unfortunately for Woody it’s only the beginning.  A few days after the funeral, just as Woody is starting to put the pieces of his life back together, Annie shows up at his doorstep, fresh from the grave and ready to pick up where they left off.

Nick Says: It’s way too smart. It’s way too cerebral. It’s way too irreverent. It’s too great.

When do we start?
