365 days of Sci-Fi (Archive)

From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY SIXTEEN:

“Okay, this one’s admittedly a bit more of a USA series than a SyfyChannel original, but what the hell… they’re sister networks, right?Let them fight it out amongst themselves.

– Andy Cosby

“They’re Watching You.

Pitch:

Following an experimental new eye transplant surgery, a blind man is miraculously given the gift of sight.  But when it’s revealed that the donor eyes belonged to a murdered private detective, the transplant recipient suddenly finds himself with the unique ability to see clues and details that others fail to notice.  Compelled by this newfound ability, he reluctantly begins solving unsolved crimes and helping people with cases the police have given up on… all while continuing to gather evidence in his deceased donor’s ongoing murder investigation.

Nick Says: Cosby, you couldn’t have made it a three day affair and done ‘Primate Eyes’? A dude gets head-butted by an ape and their eyes swap, and one roams the wilderness with the unique but useless in the jungle human peepers while a man goes back to civilization with the gift of Ape Vision as he becomes a legend. You couldn’t do that? WHY NOT? Anyway, I see this as a terrific vehicle for the powerhouse that is Loren Dean.
