Quentin Tarantino’s career path would likely be different if Warren Beaty had played Bill. It would have given the film a respectability balance, and people wouldn’t have been so down on Grindhouse as another spin around the genre. But Carradine – good as he is – tips the balance for some, and Death Proof paid for it in some ways.
