Media: Ken Burns’ Baseball “Top of the 10th”. The Mechanic.
Music: The New Mastersounds, but not in the way I’m used to. Imagine my surprise when Ken Burns used like 8 songs of theirs in the latest installment of his Baseball documentary.
Comedy: Nada.
Food: I ate my stew. Delightful! Ate at a joint in Atlanta I love (The Bucket Shop) and was thrilled that a friend is now the GM there. I envision spending a lot of time there.
Family: Minimal. But I got to hang a little with mom and the wife.
Work: I had to get a rental truck to move a giant desk out of storage and into the garage (saving me $80 a month) as well as pick up and assemble a couch my wife bought. Steve was super helpful in making this happen. In addition, I had to work on some legal matters (also involving Steve), update the site, and then do a screening. Long day, and I got my hand smashed in the process. Some tweaks applied to the CHUD design that hopefully streamlines things a little for folks.
Art: Nope.
Screenwriting: Nope.
Projects: After the film Renn and I made some great process on the short. Saw some poster mocks for the little horror film I was a producer on. They are very nice. Had a conference call with two collaborators and accidentally came up with the best idea ever.
Minutia: Trying to see if it’s possible to have a CHUD/GUY softball team. Trying to see if I have the time to get the President’s Day album actually done in time. looking unlikely.
Activity: Weights. Manual Labor.
Shrink’s Chair: I am not even in the middle echelon of internet writers but I’m a real guy. I’ll take that trade-off.
Looking ahead to tomorrow: The Rite CHUD screening. Oscar nonsense. New release Tuesday and I ain’t buying SHIT!
The Day’s Rating:
6/10
