Here is sunny Los Angeles, Gallery 1988 is currently doing a show called “Is This Thing On?” – running through January 29. The show’s concept was to have 100 different artists take a crack at representing different comedians of stage and screen (big and small), in whatever way inspired them. This would obviously be of no interest to the rest of the world, except that Gallery 1988 has everything on their website! So your ass can check it out. A good 65% of the works look like art school detritus, but there are some true gems buried amongst the rest.
