Writing Challenge – Day 12:  Something you hope to change about yourself and why.

There’s something that has tortured me from infancy.  It is an issue that many a brave soul has tried to help me overcome to no avail:  I can’t ride bicycles.  I have tried countless times but I just can’t.  Every time I get on a bike I squeal like a tiny weeny girl.  And I run.  There’s no reasonable explanation for my inability to ride bikes.  The only traumatic experience I’ve had happened two years ago when I nutter crashed into me with his bike and I lost use of my right arm for three months.  But I’d love to learn anyway because people seem to have so much fun riding bikes and sometimes I feel like I want to join in on the fun.

Song Challenge – Day 12:  A song from a band you hate.

There was a band that all kids my age loved when I was 8 or 10 or whatever.  It was a popular band; their music was played on radio, on the bus to school, during lunch breaks, the kids would sing their songs non-stop, and I couldn’t stand it.  They had I concert in my city some time ago and I everyone was possessed by joyful nostalgia whereas I wanted to puncture my ears with finely sharpened pencils.  You probably won’t know who they are unless you grew up in South America in the late 80s/early 90s.  They are a hellish band I still hate.
